Buying precious metals requires absolute confidence in the purity of the alloy and the authenticity of every gram. At JetGold we have built a multi-level quality-control system that prevents any uncertified gold from entering the catalogue.
1. Reliable supply channels
All new products in our catalogue are made by state mints and refineries holding LBMA Good Delivery status (London Bullion Market Association). We source metals either directly from manufacturers or through their authorised wholesale partners and official distributors, who undergo strict compliance audits.
2. Secondary-market quality control (Buyback & Resale)
JetGold provides two-way liquidity by buying investment coins and bars back from private individuals. Every metal we buy back is checked by our in-house appraisers on professional equipment:
- X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF): A high-precision spectrometer determines the exact chemical composition of the alloy to hundredths of a percent, in your presence, without damaging or deforming the coin or bar.
- Ultrasonic flaw detection: Lets us "see through" a bar and reveal any hidden internal cavities or inserts of dense base metals (such as tungsten).
- Hydrostatic weighing: Measures the exact density of the item using Archimedes' principle.
3. Grading and disclosure of wear
Before resale, bought-back metals undergo a strict physical-condition assessment (grading). Information about wear is honestly stated on the product page and directly affects the price:
- Mint / UNC (New): Perfect collector condition, no scratches, original sealed CertiCard packaging from the refinery.
- Excellent / EF: Coins and bars with no damage but showing natural signs of storage, patina, or supplied in non-original protective capsules. Sold at a discount to the standard dealer premium.
- Recycling (remelting): Items with deep scratches, deformations or distorted geometry are not admitted for resale. We send them for remelting at certified refineries for cleaning and refining.
